Question Time Bishop's Stortford

On 6th December 2018, BBC Question Time came to Bishop’s Stortford. We did apply to be in the audience but unfortunately we didn’t make the cut. 

On the panel were Conservative secretary of state for housing, communities and local government James Brokenshire MP, Labour’s shadow attorney general and member of the House of Lords Shami Chakrabarti, the SNP’s leader in Westminster Ian Blackford MP, director of the Institute for Government Jill Rutter, and columnist and former newspaper editor Charles Moore.

The first 40 minutes starts with a fiery Brexit debate touching on the backstop, asking ‘Who can we believe?’

Climate change is also touched on, with a viewer reminding us that train fares that have recently increased by 3%.

The Tactical Contact Policy was the final topic to be discussed, asking if is it an effective deterrent against moped robbery’s.
